SeaPort-e is the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas including Engineering, Financial Management, and Program Management. The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, the United States Marine Corps, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) use this vehicle to contract for their service requirements.

Quality Assurance Program
Sparton follows stringent quality processes and has a comprehensive formal Quality Management System backed up by certification to ISO9001 and AS9100 international standards. As a design authority we strive to build quality in by the application of techniques such as Critical Design Reviews and Advanced Product Quality Planning. We use advanced online automated test inspection equipment and mistake proofing systems, including camera sensors to prevent quality problems.
Sparton has a Qualified Lab and verifies incoming material using CMM and automated optical inspection layouts. Sub Suppliers are monitored and scored for performance. A team of Quality Engineers and Technicians drive process improvement and use process measurement to assess performance. Finished product reliability is rigorously tested using environmental and electrical simulations. Sparton DLS has a culture of Continual Improvement with over fifteen Certified Six Sigma Black Belts and 13 Green Belts and has implemented the Sparton Production System which includes the application of Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques on Continual Improvement projects across the business.
